Definition Al-tslym

Al-tslym according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

It is submission to God's command and the abandonment of objection in what does not befit.

Al-tslym according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

The receiving of the decree with contentment; it has been said: taslim is steadfastness at the descent of the affliction, without alteration outwardly or inwardly.

Al-tslym according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

In language: 'to hand over, to consent'; that is outward submission without inward submission. In religious law: it is inward submission to God's command and the abandonment of objection in what does not befit.
