Definition Ḥq al-yaqiyn

Ḥq al-yaqiyn according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

According to the Sufis, it is the annihilation of the servant in Allah and his subsistence through Him, through knowledge, witnessing, and spiritual state. Thus, knowing that fire is a burning body belongs to the knowledge of certainty (ilm al-yaqin). Witnessing it belongs to the eye of certainty (ayn al-yaqin). And burning in it belongs to the truth of certainty (haqq al-yaqin). Just as everyone's knowledge of death is the knowledge of certainty. When he witnesses the angels, it is the eye of certainty. When he tastes death, it is the truth of certainty. And some said that the knowledge of certainty is the exoteric aspect of the Religious Law, the eye of certainty is sincerity within it, and the truth of certainty is contemplation within it.

Ḥq al-yaqiyn according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

The reality of that to which the knowledge of certainty and the eye of certainty point.
