Extracting a wording from another, on condition of their suiting in meaning and structure, and differing in form.

Among morphology scholars: cutting a branch from a root returning in its derivatives, with the letters’ order and the meaning’s addition; the definition of the small ichtqaq.

Ishtiqaq according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

It is in the tongue: cutting. As a term, by its analogy to the active participle: returning a wording to another, though figurative, for a fitness between them in meaning, the second’s sense being in the first, and in the original letters: being there of one order, as an-natiq of noutq. Returning a wording to another for fitness of meaning and original letters; regular as the active participle, or specific as al-qaroura.
