Among rhetorical stylistic embellishments, in prose it consists of placing one of the two repeated, homophonic, or etymologically or similarly related terms at the beginning of the sentence and the other at its end. In poetry, it consists of placing one of them at the end of the verse and the other at the beginning of the first hemistich, in its middle, at its end, or at the beginning of the second hemistich. Examples are found in books of rhetoric.
