Definition Warsṭw

Warsṭw according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

He said in Anologia: I chose spiritual retreat and ascetic exercise, I detached myself from my body and stepped out of the garment of nature, then I felt a strange sensation and a wondrous light, and I saw myself as part of the components of the spiritual world and endowed with influence. Afterwards, I ascended to the Lordly Presence and saw a light that the tongue is incapable of describing and no ear can hear its qualification. In a moment of heedlessness, a veil came down between me and this light, and I remained bewildered as to how I descended from this world. The executed Shaykh in the book Al-Talwihat, as well as our master Qutb Al-Din Al-Allamah in the commentary on Hikmat Al-Ishraq, attributed this vision to Plato.
