Definition of Ḍghn

Ad-dighn and ad-daghn: intense rancor, plural adghan.

The Almighty says: 'Allah will bring out their rancors' (Muhammad 29).

The rancor hidden in hypocrites' hearts will be revealed.

Or do those in whose hearts is disease think that Allah would never expose their [feelings of] hatred?

﴿إِن يَسْـَٔلْكُمُوهَا فَيُحْفِكُمْ تَبْخَلُوا۟ وَيُخْرِجْ أَضْغَٰنَكُمْ
If He should ask you for them and press you, you would withhold, and He would expose your unwillingness.
