Definition of Qṭn

Al-Quṭn is the known cotton.

Qaṭana bi-l-makān means to reside in a place.

The Almighty says: 'And of His signs is that the heaven and earth remain by His command' (Ar-Rum 25).

Al-muqāṭinūn are those who reside in a place.
