Definition of Rj

Al-rajj: shaking something and disturbing it.

One says 'rajjahu yarujjuhu'.

Allah says: 'When the earth is shaken (rujjat) violently' (Al-Wâqi'a: 4).

The final shaking announces the Day of Judgment.
