Definition of Sqr

From saqarathu ash-shams: the sun burned him.

One also says: saqarathu, meaning it scorched and melted him.

Saqar is a name of Hell.

The Almighty says: 'I will burn him in Saqar' (Al-Muddaththir 26). 'What led you into Saqar?' (Al-Muddaththir 42).
