All the fundamentals of the religion are established in the most perfect manner, thus it is necessary that they encompass all types of disbelief, removing and negating them. The complete explanation of this has been previously mentioned in Bara'ah. The command of both is based on sincerity, and it is known that whoever is sincere to Allah is truly among the people of His guardianship. Therefore, it is rightful for them to receive the treatment that a guardian gives to their ward. For this reason - and Allah knows best - it is a Sunnah to recite it along with {قل هو الله أحد} in the two rak'ahs of Fajr, so that the one who performs this action is freed from polytheism and adorned with monotheism at the beginning of the day. This is the fruit of what has been reported, that whoever prays the dawn prayer is under the protection of Allah, and whoever is in such a state is deserving of attaining what the two surahs between the surahs of Al-Ikhlas point to: victory, support, and the disappointment and loss of their enemy. {بسم الله} - the One who encompasses all in knowledge and power, and He is the One who cannot be comprehended by anyone. {الرحمن} - the One whose mercy encompasses all through the clarity of expression, which He has made obligatory for them to be grateful for. {الرحيم} - the One who has specially favored the people of His love, so they adhere to His prohibitions and commands.
