By intellect and discernment - as has been concluded, and the intellect is the true purpose of humanity, for one of its names is 'the innermost part' (al-lubb), and it is known that the purpose of everything is its innermost part, which is the Shar' as mentioned in the end of Surat An-Nisa'. Apparently, people's intellects are similar in terms of their natural disposition, but they differ according to their innate nature. Thus, Allah, the Exalted, has made some people's element and innate nature to be in the utmost corruption, so their innate nature constantly affects their intellect, causing it to decrease until it reaches the worst state. Everyone is facilitated towards what they were created for. Some people direct their intellect, according to what Allah has prepared for them, towards what saves them, while others direct it towards what corrupts them. For you find the most intelligent and knowledgeable people in one thing to be the most foolish in another, and the most ignorant in one thing to be the most intelligent in another. Reflect on this, for it is through this that the affair of creation is organized in their worldly matters, with regards to knowledge, crafts, and conditions. And Allah is the Guide. This verse indicates that Allah, the Exalted, is transcendent beyond composition and form, for if He were to have any of these attributes, He would be the most perfect, since every attribute that is shared by creation and the Truth, the preponderance is for the Truth, such as 'the Knowing' (Al-'Alim) and 'the Most Knowing' (Al-A'lam), 'the Generous' (Al-Karim) and 'the Most Generous' (Al-Akram). This was stated by Abu Al-Qasim Al-Qushayri in his Tafsir. The form 'af'ala' does not indicate what the heretics have said, and if this is attributed to {الآية}
