Supplication of one who sees an afflicted person

الحمد لله الذي عافاني مما ابتلاك به ، وفضلني على كثير ممن خلق تفضيلاً

Pronunciation

Al-hamdu lillahi-lladhi 'afani mimma ibtalaka bih, wa faddalani 'ala kathirin mimman khalaqa tafdila.

Translation

"Praise be to Allah who preserved me from what He afflicted you with, and favored me over many of His creatures."
