Supplication of sneezing

Arabic text

إذا عطس أحدكم فليقل الحمد لله ،وليقل له أخوهُ أو صاحبهُ : يرحمك الله ،فإذا قال لهُ :يرحمك الله ،فليقل :يهديكم الله ويصلح بالكم

Pronunciation

Idha 'atasasa ahadukum fa-l-yaqul: al-hamdu lillah, wa l-yaqul lahu akhuhu aw sahibuhu: yarhamuka-llah, fa-idha qala lahu: yarhamuka-llah, fa-l-yaqul: yahdikumu-llahu wa yuslihu balakum.

Translation

When one of you sneezes, let him say: "Praise be to Allah"; and let his brother or companion say to him: "May Allah have mercy on you"; and when he has said to him: "May Allah have mercy on you", let him say: "May Allah guide you and set right your condition."
