Congratulating a newborn and the reply

بارك الله لك في الموهوب لك ،وشكرت الواهب، وبلغ أشدهُ، ورزقت برهُ .ويردُ عليه المهنأ فيقول : بارك الله لك وبارك عليك ، وجزاك الله خيراً ، ورزقك الله مثله، وأجزل ثوابك

Pronunciation

Baraka-llahu laka fi-l-mawhubi lak, wa-sh-karta-l-wahib, wa balagha ashuddah, wa ruziqta birrah. Wa yuraddu 'alayhi-l-muhan-na'u fa-yaqul: baraka-llahu laka wa baraka 'alayk, wa jazaka-llahu khayran, wa razaqaka-llahu mithlah, wa ajzala thawabak.

Translation

"May Allah bless the gift granted to you, may you thank the Giver, may the child reach full maturity, and may you be granted its piety." And the one congratulated replies: "May Allah bless you and bless upon you, may Allah reward you well, may Allah grant you the same, and amplify your reward."
