Supplication for the deceased after his burial

اللهم أعذه من عذاب القبر

Pronunciation

Allahumma a'idh-hu min 'adhabi-l-qabr.

Translation

O Allah, protect him from the torment of the grave.

أن قال : اللهم اجعله فرطاً وذخراً لوالديه ،وشفيعاً مجاباً .اللهم ثقل به موازينها وأعظم به أجورهما ، وألحقهُ بصالح المؤمنين ، واجعلهُ في كفالة إبراهيم ، وقه برحمتك عذاب الجحيم ، وأبدله داراً خيراً من داره ، وأهلاً خيراً من أهله ، اللهم اغفر لاسلافنا ، وأفراطنا ، ومن سبقنا بالإيمان فحسن

Pronunciation

Qala: Allahumma-j'al-hu furatan wa dhukhra-n li-walidayhi, wa shafi'a-n mujaban. Allahumma thaqqil bihi mawazinahuma wa a'zim bihi ujurahuma, wa alhiq-hu bi-s-salihi-l-mu'minina, wa-j'al-hu fi kafalati Ibrahim, wa qihi bi-rahmatika 'adhaba-l-jahim, wa abdil-lahu dar an khayran min darihi, wa ahlan khayran min ahlih. Allahumma-ghfir li-aslafina wa ifratina, wa man sabaqana bi-l-iman, fa-hassan.

Translation

He said: "O Allah, make him a predecessor and a store for his parents, and an answered intercessor. O Allah, weigh heavy by him their scales and magnify their rewards, and join him with the righteous believers, place him under the guarantee of Ibrahim, and shield him by Your mercy from the torment of the Blaze, and replace for him a home better than his home, a family better than his family. O Allah, forgive our predecessors and our successors, and those who preceded us in faith."

Allahumma-j'al-hu lana furatan, wa sulfan wa ajran.

Translation

O Allah, make him for us a predecessor, an advance and a reward.
