Biography of Abu Musa al-Ash'ari

Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari (b.a.s.) Abu Musa Al-Ash'ari, whose name is Abdullah bin Qais. We mentioned his name in Al-Ayn, attributed his lineage there, and mentioned some of his news. His mother was a woman from Acre who converted to Islam and died in Medina. A group of them, Al-Waqidi, said: Abu Musa was an ally of Saeed bin Al-Aas. He then converted to Islam in Mecca and migrated to Abyssinia. He then came with the people of the two ships and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, in Khaybar. Al-Waqidi said, on the authority of Khalid bin Iyas, on the authority of Abu Bakr bin Abdullah bin Abi Al-Jahm. He was a sign of genealogy.

He said: Abu Musa was not an emigrant to Abyssinia. He had no alliance in Quraysh, but he converted to Islam in the past in Mecca. He then returned to his people's country. He stayed there until he and some of the Ash'aris came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and their arrival coincided with the arrival of the people of the two ships, Jafar and his companions from the land of Abyssinia, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, agreed with Khaybar. They said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, came with the people of the two ships, but the matter is as you mentioned.

Abu Omar said: It was only mentioned by Ibn Ishaq is one of those who migrated to the land of Abyssinia because he came with his people to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. They were in a ship, so it threw them to Abyssinia. They left with Ja'far and his companions, these in a ship, and those in a ship, so they all came when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, conquered Khaybar and gave an oath to the people of the two ships. Reported by This statement is confirmed by what Yahya bin Mahmoud and Abu Yasser, on the authority of Muslim bin Al-Hajjaj, who said: Abu Usama told us, Burayd told me, on the authority of Abu Burdah, on the authority of Abu Musa, who said: We reached the exit of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, while we were in Yemen.
