٢٦٧٥- Rifa'ah ibn Samwal al-Qurazi «٣»
: He has mention in the Sahih, from the hadith of 'A'ishah, she said: The wife of Rifa'ah came to the Prophet, may Allah bless him and his family and grant him peace, and said: O Messenger of Allah, Rifa'ah divorced me and made my divorce final ... » «٤» the hadith.
And Malik related, on the authority of al-Miswar ibn Rifa'ah, on the authority of al-Zubayr ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Zubayr, that Rifa'ah ibn Samwal divorced his wife Tamimah bint Wahb.. and he mentioned the hadith.
It is mursal according to the majority of the narrators of the Muwatta', but Ibn Wahb, and Ibrahim ibn Tahman, and Abu 'Ali al-Hanafi connected it, the three of them on the authority of Malik, and they said in it: on the authority of al-Zubayr ibn 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Zubayr, on the authority of his father; and al-Zubayr the higher (in the chain) is with a fathah on the zay, and the lower one is in the diminutive form.

And Ibn Shahin related, by way of the exegesis of Muqatil ibn Hayyan concerning the saying of the Exalted: But if he divorces her, she is not lawful to him afterward until she marries a husband other than him [al-Baqarah: ٢٣٠] it was revealed concerning 'A'ishah bint 'Abd al-Rahman ibn 'Atik al-Nadri, and she was the wife of Rifa'ah ibn Wahb ibn 'Atik. And he is her cousin, who divorced her with an irrevocable divorce, so she married after him 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Zubayr, and he mentioned the story at length.
Abu Musa said: The apparent thing is that the story is one.
I say: And the apparent meaning of the two contexts is that they are two (stories), but what is problematic is the agreement of the name of the second husband, 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Zubayr; as for the woman, there is much difference concerning her name, as will come under the women.
