Umm Ayman

Umm Ayman, the servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, is the servant of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and her custodian. Her name is Baraka. She is Ethiopian, so Abdullah, the father of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, freed her. She converted to Islam at the beginning of Islam, and migrated to Abyssinia, to Medina, and pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Another report states: It belonged to Khadija's sister, so he gave it to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Some reports state: It belonged to the mother of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. She was the one who drank the urine of the Prophet ﷺ and he said to her: "May your stomach never be hungry." According to another account, The one who drank his urine, Baraka, was a slave girl, Umm Habibah, and her nickname was Umm Ayman, given her son Ayman bin Ubaid. Zaid bin Haritha bin Ubaid Al-Habashi married her, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, used to say: "Umm Ayman is my mother after my mother." He used to visit her at her home.

Reported by Abdul Wahhab, on the authority of Anas, who said: What makes you cry for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? She said: I knew that the Prophet ﷺ would die, but I cry over the revelation that was removed from us. Reported by " Yahya bin Mahmoud and Abu Yasser, on the authority of Muslim, who said: Abu Al-Tahir and Harmala told us, they said: Ibn Wahb told us, Yunus told me, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, he said: "When the immigrants came from Mecca...." He mentioned the hadith and said: Ibn Shihab said: It was the case of Umm Ayman, the mother of Usama bin Zaid, that she was a maid of honor to Abdullah bin Abdul Muttalib. She was from Abyssinia.

When Amina gave birth to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, after his father died, Umm Ayman nursed him until he grew up, then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, freed her. He then married her to Zaid bin Haritha. She then died five months after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, died; according to another report, six months; in another account, Abu Bakr and Omar used to visit it, just as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, used to visit it.
