Definition Ahl al-Ahwa'

Ahl al-Ahwa' according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

The people of the qibla whose creed is not the creed of the people of the Sounna: the jabrites, the qadarites, the Rafidites, the kharijites, the mou’attila, the mouchabbiha; each of these being twelve sects, making seventy-two in all.

Ahl al-Ahwa' according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

Lexically: the passions, singular hawa: man’s love of a thing and its predominance over his heart.

Ahl al-Ahwa' according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)
