📖 1 min readAjma'a the people: they agreed. In the Noble Quran: 'And when they conspired to place him in the depths of the well' (Yusuf, 15). Ajma'a the scattered ones: he gathered them. Ajma'a the matter: he settled it firmly; in the Noble Book: 'So scheme against me, all of you, and come in ranks' (Ta-Ha, 64). Ajma'a the matter, or resolved upon it ('alayhi): he resolved upon it firmly; in the noble hadith: 'Whoever does not resolve upon the fast from the night has no fast.' Ajma'a the thing: he made ready for it. Ajma'a someone: he spent the night with him.
