Al-khushu' according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

In language: a masdar taken from khashi'a, which is stillness, serenity, quietness, humbleness and lowliness, as Allah, the Most High, said: "and voices are hushed before the Most Merciful".

Al-khushu' according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

It is said in consideration of the deeds of the limbs.
