Al-aghlal- according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

It is treachery in a thing entrusted. Al-Shafi'i said: 'if one betrayed in the alms, precaution is warranted if the Imam is just'. The meaning of 'his ghull in the alms': hiding it from the collector so it not be taken. Its origin is the gharul of the spoils, which is treachery therein. (Az-Zahir fi Ghara'ib Alfaz al-Imam al-Shafi'i, p. 101; Talbat at-Taliba, p. 217).

Al-aghlal- according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Treachery in everything. Theft. Al-ghall: the tranquil valley rich in trees (plural ghilan). The traitor. In the usage of the Law: the traitor in the spoils (Iyad). Al-ghilala: a fine cloth worn under the garment (plural ghala'il). Al-ghalal: thirst. The water running at the roots of trees. Al-ghull: an iron or leather ring put on the captive's or criminal's neck, or their hands (plural aghlal). The vehemence of thirst and its heat. Al-ghill: enmity. Latent rancor; and in the August Book: 'Our Lord, forgive us and our brothers who preceded us in faith, and put not in our hearts rancor toward those who believed: our Lord, You are Kind, Merciful' (Al-Hashr, 10). Fraud. With the Ibadis: using the limb or the heart to harm the hated, hated one; and: willing what reaches people of harm and perdition in this world or the next, or both. Al-ghalla: all the farm yields, in produce or rent (plural ghalat and ghilal). What comes of the house's rent and the land's profit. Earnings. With the four schools: all that comes from the land's yield, or its rent, or the house's rent, or the slave's earnings, and the like. Al-ghulla: the vehemence of thirst and its heat. The ghallata. Al-ghulul: stealing from the spoils' wealth before division. Treachery in the spoils and other. And in the noble hadith: 'no alms from ghulul'. By the Law: treachery in the spoils specifically (al-Husayn al-San'ani). Al-ghalil: treachery (plural ghala'il). Anger. The vehemence of thirst and its heat. The heat of love and grief.
