The suspension of motor forces and sensitive veins due to a weakness of the heart caused by severe pain, hunger, or excessive cold.
The suspension of motor and sensitive forces due to a weakness of the heart and the gathering of the spirit within it as a result of its internal drying, thus preventing it from finding an exit.
﴿فَأَتْبَعَهُمْ فِرْعَوْنُ بِجُنُودِهِۦ فَغَشِيَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْيَمِّ مَا غَشِيَهُمْ﴾
« So Pharaoh pursued them with his soldiers, and there covered them from the sea that which covered them, »
Surah طه : 78
﴿وَإِذَا غَشِيَهُم مَّوْجٌۭ كَٱلظُّلَلِ دَعَوُا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ فَلَمَّا نَجَّىٰهُمْ إِلَى ٱلْبَرِّ فَمِنْهُم مُّقْتَصِدٌۭ ۚ وَمَا يَجْحَدُ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَآ إِلَّا كُلُّ خَتَّارٍۢ كَفُورٍۢ﴾
« And when waves come over them like canopies, they supplicate Allah, sincere to Him in religion. But when He delivers them to the land, there are [some] of them who are moderate [in faith]. And none rejects Our signs except everyone treacherous and ungrateful. »
Surah لقمان : 32
﴿فَغَشَّىٰهَا مَا غَشَّىٰ﴾
« And covered them by that which He covered. »
