Alhlym according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Al-Halim (the Forbearing), in the scholars' view: He who defers the punishment despite having the power over it (Ibn Hajar). In the Noble Quran: 'And know that Allah is All-Forgiving and Forbearing' (Al-Baqarah, 235).
