Al-iḥṣar according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

In language: prevention and confinement; in religious law: being prevented from proceeding with the acts of Hajj, whether by an enemy, confinement, or illness.

It is the pilgrim in consecration (muhrim) being unable to perform the circumambulation and the standing.
