Aljan according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

Al Jinn. And in the Noble Quran: (And on that Day neither man nor jinn will be asked about his sin) (Al Rahman: 39). Al Jinn: the opposite of humans. Its singular is Jinni and the feminine is Jinniyyah. And in the Noble Quran: (Say: If mankind and jinn gathered in order to produce the like of this Quran, they could not produce the like of it, even if they were to each other assistants) (Al Isra: 88). They have a real existence, and they are accountable. Many philosophers, heretics, and Qadariyyah have denied their existence. This is baseless, and seeing them in their original form is impossible except for the prophets. Therefore, Al Shafi'i said: Whoever claims to see the jinn, we invalidate his testimony, unless he is a prophet. Of everything: its beginning, its activity, and its intensity. It is said: the youth has reached its peak. Al Jannah: the garden possessing date palms and trees. Plural: Jinan. And in the Noble Quran: (And he entered his garden, while he was unjust to himself, saying: I do not think that this will ever perish) (Al Kahf: 35). And: the abode of blessings in the Hereafter. And in the Noble Quran: (And it was cried to them: This is the Paradise which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do) (Al A'raf: 43). Al Junnah: the shield or protection. Plural: Junun. And in the noble hadith: Fasting is a shield. Iyad said: This means a protection from sins, or from the Fire, or from all of that. And: everything that protects such as a weapon and other things. And in the Noble Book: (They have taken their oaths as a shield, so they obstructed the way of Allah; and for them is a humiliating punishment) (Al Mujadilah: 16). Al Jinnah: madness. And in the Noble Quran: (Or do they say there is madness in him? Rather, he has brought them the truth, and most of them are averse to the truth) (Al Muminoon: 70). And: the jinn. And in the Noble Book: (And they have made between Him and the jinn a lineage, and the jinn certainly know that they will be brought) (Al Saffat: 158). Al Junun: self-admiration/vanity. And in the noble hadith: O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the vanity of deeds, meaning: self-admiration in them. And: the loss of reason or corruption in it. And according to the Hanafites: the impairment of the faculty of distinguishing between good and bad things, and the one that perceives consequences, such that its effects do not appear and its actions are suspended, either due to a congenital deficiency in his brain at the origin of creation, or due to the brain's temperament deviating from moderation due to a humor or affliction, or due to the domination of Satan over him and casting false imaginations into him such that he rejoices and becomes terrified without a valid cause. And: an affliction that deprives one of reason. And according to the Shafi'ites: an attribute that removes consciousness from the heart while movement and strength remain in the limbs.
