Definition Al-nfs al-amaara

Al-nfs al-amaara according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

It is that which inclines towards the physical nature, commands sensual pleasures and desires, and draws the heart towards the lower realm; thus, it is the refuge of evils and the source of base morals.
