With fatha on the first letter and sukun on the jlm. It also came with two fathas: it is to raise the price of an article with no desire on your part to buy it.
In language: (with fatha of the nun and sukun of the emphatic jlm following it); its root is extraction and stirring up. Ibn Sidah said: 'He stirred up game and every concealed beast (yanjishu-hu najshan)': when he drew it out; and 'al-najjashi': the drawer-out of game, according to Abu Ubayd.
It is to raise the price of an article with no desire to buy it.
Of the hidden beast: 'najasha-hu najshan': he stirred it up and drew it out. One says: he stirred up game; and 'najasha al-hadith': he spread it about. : So-and-so in a sale or the like: he raised the price of the article, or of the dower or the like, that it be known and further raised, and this is the bidding up (muzayada). : The fire: he kindled it.
Bidding over another's purchase without any need.
With fatha of the nun and sukun or fatha of the jlm: from 'najasha al-shay'': he drew out what it concealed. To raise the price of merchandise without wanting to buy it, but to beguile another and raise its price (against: ...). Raise up the price. Al-naj'a: with damma of the nun and sukun of the jlm; (plural) naj': seeking pasture and the rain's falling places in their sites.
