Definition Al-ṣḥa

Al-ṣḥa according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

A state or disposition by which acts issue from their seat sound.

Al-ṣḥa according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

They said: it is a state or disposition by which acts issue from their seat sound. With the jurists: the act's exempting from compensation (qada) in the acts of worship, and causing its effects to attach by the Law in transactions; opposed to it is invalidity.

Al-ṣḥa according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

In language: in the sense of soundness; the healthy is thus the opposite of the sick. It is a state or disposition by which acts issue from their seat sound. In al-Misbah: bodily health is a natural state whereby its acts run on the natural course; and health was borrowed for meanings, so one says: 'the prayer is sound (sahhat)' when it exempts from compensation; 'the contract is sound' when its effect attaches to it; and sound.

Al-ṣḥa according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

A bodily constitution whereby the acts issue of themselves sound.

Al-ṣḥa according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

A state or disposition by which acts issue from their seat sound.
