Al-shykhan according to Al-Kulliyat (Al-Kafawi)

Abu Hanifa and Abu Yusuf, may Allah have mercy on them; naming Abu Hanifa by it is apparent, and likewise Abu Yusuf, for he is Muhammad's shaykh.

Al-shykhan according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

Abu Hanifa and Abu Yusuf (may Allah have mercy on them); naming Abu Hanifa by it is apparent, and likewise Abu Yusuf, for he is Muhammad's shaykh. The Two Shaykhs, among the people of hadith: the imam Abu 'Abd Allah Muhammad ibn Isma'il al-Bukhari, author of 'al-Jami' al-Sahih', and the imam Muslim al-Qushayri al-Nisaburi, his student, author of 'al-Jami' al-Sahih' as well.
