Definition Al-tfkhym

Al-tfkhym according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)

Veneration and elevation, and its opposite is thinning. In tajwid, in the name of Allah there is tafkhim and tarqiq; thus tafkhim is applied if what precedes it has a fathah or a dammah, as you say: rahimahu Allah and 'allamahu Allah, and tarqiq is applied if it has a kasrah, like: bismi Allah and al-hamdu lillah.
