Definition Al-wjwb

Al-wjwb according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

It is the necessity that the essence itself requires and its realization in the external; among the jurists: the binding of legal liability (the charge upon the dhimma).

Al-wjwb according to Al-Kulliyat (Al-Kafawi)

Necessitation; one says: 'the sale awjab (became binding)', that is, became necessary and established; a man is said to awwaba: when he did what earns Paradise or the Fire; the good deed is called 'mujiba' and the evil deed 'mujiba'. So in al-Sahah and al-Mughrib.

Al-wjwb according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

Necessitation; one says: 'the sale wajabat', and: 'the man awwaba': when he did what earns Paradise or the Fire; the good deed is called 'mujiba', and the evil 'mujiba'. Al-wajba: the falling; one says wajaba the wall, and from it the word of the Most High: 'When then her sides fall'.
