📖 2 min readIt is the general absolute restricted by non-necessity, according to the essence. If it is affirmative, as in our statement: every human laughs in act and not by necessity, its composition consists of a general absolute affirmative and a general possible negative. As for the general absolute affirmative, it is the first part. As for the general possible negative, meaning our statement: nothing of the human laughs by general possibility, it is the meaning of non-necessity; because if affirmation is not necessary, there is a negation of the necessity of affirmation, and the negation of the necessity of affirmation is a general possible negative. And if it is negative, as in our statement: nothing of the human laughs in act and not by necessity, its composition consists of a general absolute negative, which is the first part, and a general possible affirmative, which is the meaning of non-necessity. Indeed, if the negation is not necessary, there is a negation of the necessity of negation, which is the general possible affirmative.
