One of the indeterminate times.
The matter 'with a fixed time': a time is set for its doing; he is mawqut. In the Quran: 'prayer upon the believers is enjoined at fixed times' (al-Nisa', 103), that is, whose time is appointed and not to be delayed. To do a thing 'by appointment of time': a time is fixed for it, ending at that point; he is muwaqqit. Al-mawqit: the miqat. Al-miqat: the time appointed for the act; plural mawaqit. The place fixed for doing a thing, whence the mawaqit of the Hajj: the places of consecration (ihram). Al-waqt: a measure of time; plural awqat; hence the time of worship: the span appointed by religious law for it.
An imagined occurrence whose occurrence is suspended upon an actual one.
The bounded measure of time. It has been said: time is the limit lying between two things, one of which is known.
A measure of dahr, mostly used of the past; it has been said: a measure of time appointed for some matter; it has been said: for some act.
﴿يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلسَّاعَةِ أَيَّانَ مُرْسَىٰهَا ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ رَبِّى ۖ لَا يُجَلِّيهَا لِوَقْتِهَآ إِلَّا هُوَ ۚ ثَقُلَتْ فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ لَا تَأْتِيكُمْ إِلَّا بَغْتَةًۭ ۗ يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ كَأَنَّكَ حَفِىٌّ عَنْهَا ۖ قُلْ إِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِندَ ٱللَّهِ وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ﴾
« They ask you, [O Muhammad], about the Hour: when is its arrival? Say, "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None will reveal its time except Him. It lays heavily upon the heavens and the earth. It will not come upon you except unexpectedly." They ask you as if you are familiar with it. Say, "Its knowledge is only with Allah, but most of the people do not know." »
Surah الأعراف : 187
﴿إِلَىٰ يَوْمِ ٱلْوَقْتِ ٱلْمَعْلُومِ﴾
