He played or cast lots with arrows. The thing: the matter came from its left. It became easy. The thing: became little, so it is slight. The matter: became easy, so it is easy and slight. Such a person became rich. The thing: became easy. In the noble hadith: Facilitate and do not make things difficult. He granted him success. He prepared him for such a thing. The wealthy: the rich in the plural miyasin. Without disagreement: he is the one whose wealth exceeds his sustenance and the sustenance of his dependents with abundance according to Ibn Hazm. Al-Maysir: gambling. In the glorious book: ﴿O you who have believed! Indeed, intoxicants, gambling, stone altars, and divining arrows are but defilement from the work of Satan, so avoid it that you may succeed﴾ Al-Ma'idah 90. It is the gambling of the Arabs with arrows or playing with divining arrows in everything. Everything that involves gambling, even the play of boys with walnuts. It is said: chess is the gambling of the Persians. Backgammon. The left side: the opposite of the right in the plural miyasin. Ease. Wealth. In the sublime Quran: ﴿And if someone is in hardship, then [let there be] postponement until a time of ease﴾ Al-Baqarah 280. Ease. Wealth. Ease. The left: the opposite of the right in the plural yusr and yusr. Abundance and wealth.
An action that does not exhaust the soul and does not burden the body. As for hardship, it is what exhausts the soul and harms the body, as stated by Al-Harali.
﴿أَوَلَا يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ﴾
« But do they not know that Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare? »
Surah البقرة : 77
﴿شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ فِيهِ ٱلْقُرْءَانُ هُدًۭى لِّلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَـٰتٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْهُدَىٰ وَٱلْفُرْقَانِ ۚ فَمَن شَهِدَ مِنكُمُ ٱلشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُ ۖ وَمَن كَانَ مَرِيضًا أَوْ عَلَىٰ سَفَرٍۢ فَعِدَّةٌۭ مِّنْ أَيَّامٍ أُخَرَ ۗ يُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ بِكُمُ ٱلْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُرِيدُ بِكُمُ ٱلْعُسْرَ وَلِتُكْمِلُوا۟ ٱلْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَىٰكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ﴾
« The month of Ramadhan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur'an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey - then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful. »
Surah البقرة : 185
﴿أَلَآ إِنَّهُمْ يَثْنُونَ صُدُورَهُمْ لِيَسْتَخْفُوا۟ مِنْهُ ۚ أَلَا حِينَ يَسْتَغْشُونَ ثِيَابَهُمْ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ عَلِيمٌۢ بِذَاتِ ٱلصُّدُورِ﴾
« Unquestionably, they the disbelievers turn away their breasts to hide themselves from Him. Unquestionably, [even] when they cover themselves in their clothing, Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He is Knowing of that within the breasts. »
Surah هود : 5
﴿لَا جَرَمَ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا يُسِرُّونَ وَمَا يُعْلِنُونَ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُسْتَكْبِرِينَ﴾
« Assuredly, Allah knows what they conceal and what they declare. Indeed, He does not like the arrogant. »
Surah النحل : 23
﴿وَأَمَّا مَنْ ءَامَنَ وَعَمِلَ صَـٰلِحًۭا فَلَهُۥ جَزَآءً ٱلْحُسْنَىٰ ۖ وَسَنَقُولُ لَهُۥ مِنْ أَمْرِنَا يُسْرًۭا﴾
« But as for one who believes and does righteousness, he will have a reward of Paradise, and we will speak to him from our command with ease." »
Surah الكهف : 88
﴿وَيَسِّرْ لِىٓ أَمْرِى﴾
« And ease for me my task »
