Definition Bara'a

Bara'a according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

Lexically: exiting a thing and parting it; the root al-bara’, cutting’s sense: baraa the tie’s cutting; said: quit of the thing.

Bara'a according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

An argument the treasurer or keeper grants the payer on what he pays.
