According to the doctrine of the people of the Sunna: to tell of a thing contrary to what it is, whether deliberately, through forgetfulness or by mistake. (al-Nawawi). Among the Mu'tazila and the Ibadis: to tell contrary to reality deliberately. Al-kursuf: cotton.
