Definition Khudr

Khudr according to Mu'jam al-Mustalahat al-Fiqhiyya

A side of the house where a curtain is left, where the free maiden dwells. A curtain for the free maiden in a side of the house; it is also said the khodour are the houses. And he left such a thing behind: he forsook it. The poet said: « like a mother of languid eyes leaving her behind, deposited like wine in a sealed jar ».

Khudr according to Maqalid al-'Ulum (As-Suyuti)

An accidental cause befalling the touch, diminishing it.

Khudr according to At-Tawqif (Al-Munawi)

In the sense of the limb’s slackening so it cannot move. Also said: a cause befalls the touch diminishing it, by a cold that thickens the spirit, or a toxic quality as the serpent’s sting, or the thickness of the nerve’s substance, or its obstruction by some humour. The curtain; applied to a house where a woman is, else not. And the khadira: she kept from outrage and from going out for needs.

Khudr according to At-Ta'rifat al-Fiqhiyya (Al-Barkati)

With kasra: a curtain spread for the maiden in a side of the house, or what is set apart for her lodging. With fatha: a cramp seizing the limb barring movement; also applied to sloth and languor.
