Definition Mlak

Mlak according to Al-Qamus al-Fiqhi

The thing: its substance, its order, and what it rests upon; in the noble hadith: "the touchstone of religion is piety". Al-malak: what the hand owns of property and servants; free will; in the Quran: "We did not fail Our promise to you through tyranny (bi-malikina)" (Ta-Ha 20:87); al-mulk; plural: muluk and amlak. Al-mulk: what is owned and disposed of, masculine and feminine; plural: amlak; in the Quran: "To Allah belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is in them: He is powerful over everything" (al-Ma'ida 5:120); the investiture of sovereignty; in the Quran: "Their prophet said to them: the sign of his kingship is that the ark shall come to you, wherein is tranquility from your Lord and a remnant of what the house of Moses and the house of Aaron left, the angels bearing it: in that is a sign for you, if you are believers" (al-Baqara 2:248); with the Shafi'is: it is the disposing by command and prohibition.
