Coming with a thing after another; said: he trailed the horse in its racer.
Hesitating seeking glory. Doing a deed then returning it. Sitting after prayer for invocation. In charity: exception; said: his charity has no ta’qib: exception. Al-’aqib: everything’s end, or conclusion; al-’Aqib of the Prophet’s names, last of the prophets. All remaining after a thing, or after which nothing remains. Requiting by good. Al-’aqiba: child, offspring. Requiting by good. Everything’s end, or its conclusion; in the noble Quran: « and to Allah is the matters’ issue » (Louqman 22). Al-’iqab: the punishment. Al-’ouqb: the issue; in the glorious Book: « there the allegiance is: to Allah, the True: best of retribution and best of issue » (al-Kahf 44), everyone Resurrection-day returning to Allah and His continued following, and humility toward Him when the torment falls. The deeds whose reward better and issue sage, fair, all good. Their word: came after Ramadan’s month: come after all that passed wholly. Al-’ouqoub: the issue. Al-’ouqba: the turn; plural ’ouqoub. Al-’ouqba: the matters’ requital. Al-’ouqouba: the requital; plural ’ouqoubat.
