Definition Wajd

Wajd according to Kitab at-Ta'rifat (Al-Jurjani)

What the heart encounters and befalls it without effort nor affectation. Said: it is lightnings that flash then die down swiftly.

Wajd according to Mufradat (Ar-Raghib)

I wajadtu in wealth, with waw damma; and in al-Ghani: jidda, with kasra of the jim.

Wajd according to Dustur al-'Ulama (Al-Ahmadnagari)
