Definition of Khd

Allah says: 'Cursed were the people of the trench (al-ukhdûd)' (Al-Burûj: 4).

Al-ukhdûd: the pit, the furrow dug in the earth.

The people of the trench are those who dug trenches and threw believers in to burn them alive.

Khd in the Quran (1)

Meccan: 1 Medinan: 0
Surah Luqman : 18 Meccan
And do not turn your cheek [in contempt] toward people and do not walk through the earth exultantly. Indeed, Allah does not like everyone self-deluded and boastful.
