Definition of Sḥq

As-sahq: finely grinding something.

It is used for ground medicines.

One says: I ground it and it became powder.

The Almighty says: 'Away with the companions of the Blaze' (Al-Mulk 11).

As-suhq refers to extreme distance.

Ground thing: thing reduced to dust.

﴿حُنَفَآءَ لِلَّهِ غَيْرَ مُشْرِكِينَ بِهِۦ وَمَن يُشْرِكْ بِٱللَّهِ فَكَأَنَّمَا خَرَّ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ فَتَخْطَفُهُ ٱلطَّيْرُ أَوْ تَهْوِى بِهِ ٱلرِّيحُ فِى مَكَانٍ سَحِيقٍ
Inclining [only] to Allah, not associating [anything] with Him. And he who associates with Allah - it is as though he had fallen from the sky and was snatched by the birds or the wind carried him down into a remote place.

﴿فَٱعْتَرَفُوا۟ بِذَنۢبِهِمْ فَسُحْقًا لِّأَصْحَٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ
And they will admit their sin, so [it is] alienation for the companions of the Blaze.
