Definition of Smk

As-samk: the roof of the house.

Samakahu: he raised it.

The Almighty says: 'He raised its ceiling' (An-Nazi'at 28).

As-samak: fish, plural asmak.

Fish is so named because it rises in water as the roof rises over the house.
