Definition of Hdd

At-Tahdīd refers to threat.

The Almighty says: 'That you may warn' (Al-Ahqaf 21).

Haddada means to threaten.

Al-ḥadīd is iron because it threatens.

The Almighty says: 'And We sent down iron' (Al-Hadid 25).
