When the surah of Al-Falaq came for seeking refuge from the evil of all created things, including physical and non-physical harms that are general to humans and others, which encompasses all evil found in all realms and times, then it specified certain evils by their instances, such as the wicked, the sorcerer, and the envious. Thus, the seeking of refuge in it was general for external calamities that result from the injustice of others, and internal flaws that result from the injustice of the self, although the former is more apparent. It concluded with envy, indicating that it is the most harmful of calamities. The origin of the enmity between the jinn and humans was envy. The surah of An-Nas came, containing a seeking of refuge from a specific evil, which is whispering, and it is more specific than the general concept of envy. It pertains to internal flaws that affect human souls, the origin of which is all whispering, and it is the cause of all sins and disobedience. The whispering is from the jinn, and it is the most possible and harmful evil. All evil returns to calamities and flaws.
