To pronounce the name The Expander in Arabic, we say: Al-Basit.

From the Arabic root ب-س-ط (b-s-t, to spread or expand), بَاسِط (basit) is the active participle فَاعِل, the one who enlarges provision and mercy.
The Name “The Expander” means: The One who expands His gifts and opens hearts according to His wisdom. It affirms a perfection belonging to Allah without defect, limit, or resemblance to creation. In al-Ghazali’s perspective, the believer never claims to share the divine attribute in its reality; instead, the Name gives an orientation suited to the condition of a servant.
Meditating on this Name calls the believer to seek lawful provision, share one's means, and never confuse created means with the true Provider. Knowledge of the Name thereby becomes worship, refinement of character, and trust in Allah alone.
