Aisha bint Abi Bakr

Aisha bint Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq Al-Siddiqa, daughter of Al-Siddiq, Mother of the Believers, wife of the Prophet ﷺ and the most famous of his women. Her mother is Umm Ruman, daughter of Amer bin Uwaimir bin Abd Shams bin Attab bin Uthaynah bin Subay bin Dahman bin Al-Harith bin Ghanam bin Malik bin Kinanah Al-Kinaniya. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, married her two years before the Hijra. She was a virgin. This was said by Abu Ubaidah; according to another report, by three years. Al-Zubair said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, married her three years after Khadija. Khadija died three years before the Hijra; in another account, four years; some reports state instead: five years, and her age when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, married her was six years; according to another report, seven years. He consummated the marriage with her in Medina when she was nine years old.

Gabriel, peace be upon him, had shown the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, an image of her wrapped in a piece of silk in a dream, when Khadija died, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, nicknamed her Umm Abdullah, with her sister's son, Abdullah bin Al-Zubayr. Reported by Yahya bin Mahmoud, on the authority of Ibn Abi Asim, who said: Saeed bin Yahya bin Saeed told us, my father told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Amr, on the authority of Yahya bin Abdul Rahman bin Hatib, on the authority of Aisha, she said: When Khadija died, Khawla bint Hakim bin Al-Awqas, the wife of Othman bin Mazun, and that was in Mecca, said: Oh, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, didn't he get married? He said: "Who? "I said: If you want, a virgin, and if you want, a married woman." He said: "Who is the firstborn?" She said: The daughter of Allah's most beloved creation to you: Aisha bint Abi Bakr.

He said: "Who is the garment?" She said: Sawda bint Zam'ah bin Qays, I believed in you and followed you as you are. He said: "Then go and mention them to me." So she came and entered Abu Bakr's house, and found Umm Ruman or Aisha. She said: Oh, Umm Ruman, what goodness and blessings has Allah brought upon you? She said: And what is that? She said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, sent me to propose to Aisha. She said: I wanted to wait for Abu Bakr, for he is coming. Then Abu Bakr came. She said: O Abu Bakr, what good and blessings has Allah brought upon you? He said: And what is that? She said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, sent me to propose to Aisha. He said: Is she suitable for him? She is his brother's daughter. So I returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and mentioned that to him.

He said: "Go back and tell him, 'You are my brother in Islam, and your daughter is suitable for me.'" She went to Abu Bakr. He said: Call the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, for me. He came and married him. She was six years old at that time, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said: "Who is the married woman?" She said: Sawda bint Zam'a, I believed in you and followed you. He said: "Go and mention it to me." She said: So she went out and went to Sawda. She said: O Sawda, what goodness and blessings has Allah brought upon you? She said: What is that? She said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, sent me to propose to you. She said: I wanted to go to my father and mention that to him. She said: He is an old man who had failed to perform Hajj, so I visited him and said: Muhammad bin Abdullah sent me to propose to Sawda. He said: Competent and generous, so what does your friend say? She said: She would like that. He said: Invite her.

So she invited her. He said: Muhammad bin Abdullah sent to propose to you. He is worthy and generous. Would you like me to marry you? She said: Yes. He said: So call him for me. So she called him and he came and married her. Her brother Abd bin Zam'a came from Hajj and started throwing dirt on his head. He said after he converted to Islam: I am a fool on the day I throw dirt on my head for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, to marry Sawda.

Reported by Abu al-Faraj bin Abi al-Raja, on the authority of Anas bin Malik, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said: "The superiority of Aisha over women is like the superiority of porridge over all other food." Muhammad bin Saraya bin Ali Al-Adl, Al-Hussein bin Abi Salih bin Fanakhsraw, and others, told us, with their chain of transmission, On the authority of Muhammad bin Ismail, Abdullah bin Abdul Wahhab told us, Hammad told us, Hisham told us, on the authority of his father, he said: People were eager with their gifts on the day of Aisha. She said: So my companions gathered to Umm Salamah and said: O Umm Salamah, the people are eager to give their gifts on the day of Aisha, and we want goodness just as Aisha wants. So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, commanded the people to give gifts to him wherever he was or wherever he was.

Dar said: So Umm Salamah mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ, she said: So he turned away from me. When he returned to me I mentioned that to him, so he turned away from me. When he was the third time, I mentioned that to him. He said: "O Umm Salamah, do not harm me about Aisha, for by Allah, the revelation has not descended upon me while I am in the quilt of any woman other than you. Reported by " He said: And Muhammad bin Ismail, on the authority of Ibn Shihab, who said: Abu Salamah said, Aisha said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said: "O Aisha, this is Gabriel, peace be upon him, peace be upon him." She said: "And upon him be peace, Allah's mercy, and His blessings. You see what I do not see." Ismail bin Ali, Ibrahim bin Muhammad, and others told us, with their chain of transmission, on the authority of Muhammad bin Isa.

Reported by Abd bin Hamid, on the authority of Aisha, who said: This is your wife in this world and the hereafter. Reported by " He said: Muhammad bin Isa, on the authority of Amr bin Al-Aas, who said: So I came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah, "Which people do I love most to you?" He said: Aisha. I said: Who are the men? He said: Her father. Reported by Muhammad bin Issa, on the authority of Amr bin Ghalib, who said: "A man insulted Aisha, peace be upon him, at Ammar bin Yasser. He said: Single, ugly, and desolate. Will you harm the beloved of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ?" And when Masruq narrated on her authority, he would say: Al-Siddiqa, the innocent daughter of Al-Siddiq, told me. Sharpener. The senior companions used to ask her about the religious duties, and Ata' bin Abi Rabah said: Aisha was one of the most knowledgeable people and had the best opinion among the common people.

Urwa said: I have not seen anyone more knowledgeable in jurisprudence, medicine, or poetry than Aisha, and if Aisha had no virtues except the story of the eloquent, it would be sufficient for her to be virtue and the height of glory, for what was revealed from the Qur'an is to be recited until the Day of Resurrection. Were it not for the fear of lengthening, we would have mentioned the entire story of Al-Ifk, which is too famous to be hidden. Mismar bin Omar bin Al Owais, Abu Al Faraj Muhammad bin Abdul Rahman bin Abi Al Ezz, and others told us, with their chain of transmission, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ismail, Muhammad bin Bashar told us, Abdul Wahhab bin Abdul Majeed told us, Ibn Aoun told us, on the authority of Al Qasim bin Muhammad, "Aisha complained and Ibn Abbas came and said: O Mother of the Believers, you are ahead of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Abu Bakr." She narrated on the authority of the Prophet ﷺ.

A lot was narrated by Omar Ibn Al-Khattab and many of the Companions, and countless followers. Yahya bin Ayyub narrated, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Zuhar, on the authority of Ali bin Zaid, on the authority of Al-Qasim, on the authority of Abu Umamah, that Omar bin Al-Khattab said: Bring your horses and put on your shoes, and beware of the manners of non-Arabs, and that you sit at a table where alcohol is drunk, and it is not permissible for a believing man, male or female, to enter the bathroom without an apron unless he is sick. Aisha told me that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said while in my bed: "Woman." A believer who has put her veil on someone other than her home has torn the veil between her and her Lord. Aisha died in the year fifty-seven.

Another report states: In the year fifty-eight, on Tuesday night, seventeen nights before Ramadan, she was ordered to be pushed into Al-Baqi' at night, so she was buried and Abu Hurairah, peace be upon him, prayed over her, and five people descended into her grave: Abdullah and Urwa, the sons of Al-Zubayr, Al-Qasim bin Muhammad bin Abi Bakr, Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Abi Bakr, and Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman bin Abi Bakr, and when the Prophet ﷺ died, she was eighteen years old.
