Ka'b ibn Malik

He did not remain behind. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, except in the Battle of Badr and Tabuk. As for Badr, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, did not blame anyone for it. He stayed behind for haste. As for Tabuk, he stayed behind due to the intense heat.

He was one of the three who were left behind, even when the spacious land became too narrow for them and their souls were too small for them. They were: Ka'b ibn Malik, Mararah bin Rabi'ah, and Hilal bin Umayyah, so Allah, revealed about them: "And upon the three who were left behind, even when the land became too narrow for them for all its spaciousness"…the verses, so He turned to them in repentance, and the story is well-known. The heel of the Prophet ﷺ was worn on the Battle of Uhud by his mother, the Prophet ﷺ. It was yellow, and the Prophet ﷺ wore it for his mother, so he had eleven wounds on the heel of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He was one of the poets of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Ibn Sirin said: The poets of the Prophet ﷺ were: Hassan bin Thabit, Kaab bin Malik, and Abdullah. Ibn Rawahah. Ka'b ibn Malik used to fear war.

Hassan used to accept lineages, and Abdullah ibn Rawahah used to criticize them for their disbelief.
