Biography of Mus'ab ibn Umayr

Musab bin Umair bin Hashim bin Abd Manaf bin Abd al-Dar bin Qusay bin Kulab bin Murrah al-Qurashi al-Abdari, nicknamed Abu Abdullah. He was one of the virtuous and best Companions, and one of the first to convert to Islam. He converted to Islam while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, was in the house of Al-Arqam. He concealed his conversion out of fear of his mother and his people. He used to go to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, secretly. He saw Uthman bin Talha al-Abdari praying, so he informed his family and mother, so they seized him and imprisoned him. He continued. He was imprisoned until he migrated to the land of Abyssinia, and returned from Abyssinia to Mecca. He then migrated to Medina after the First Pledge of Aqabah to teach people the Qur'an and lead them in prayer.

Reported by Ubayd Allah ibn Ahmad, on the authority of Yazid ibn Abi Habib, who said: "When the people departed, On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, meaning the first night of Aqaba, he sent with them Musab bin Umair. Ibn Ishaq said: Asim bin Umar bin Qatada told me: Mus'ab bin Umair used to lead them in prayer, and that was because the Aws and Khazraj, some of them disliked having some of them lead them in prayer. Aqal Ibn Ishaq: He told me Ubayd Allah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Hazm and Ubayd Allah ibn al-Mughirah ibn Muaqib said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ, sent Mus'ab ibn Umair with the ethnic group. Ten of those who pledged allegiance to him in the first Aqaba, teaching its people to understand and reciting the Qur'an to them." He stayed in As'ad bin Zurarah's home. He was called Medina the Reciter. It is said: He was the first to gather Friday prayers in Medina, and Usayd bin Zurarah accepted the greeting at his hands.

Hudayr and Saad bin Moaz, and that is enough pride and influence in Islam. Al-Baraa bin Azib said: The first of the immigrants to come to us: Musab bin Umair, brother of Banu Abd al-Dar, then Amr bin Umm Maktoum came to us after him, then Ammar bin Yasser came to us after him, Saad bin Abi Waqqas, Abdullah bin Masoud, and Bilal, then Omar bin Al-Khattab came to us. Musab witnessed Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He witnessed Uhud with the banner of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He was killed as a martyr by Uhud. Ibn Qam'ah al-Laythi killed him according to the words of Ibn Ishaq. Reported by Abu Ja`far, on the authority of Ibn Ishaq, who said: Mus`ab ibn Umair ibn Hashim, killed by Ibn Qam'at al-Laythiq. It is said: He was forty years old on the day he was killed, or a little more.

It is said: About him and among his companions the verse was revealed: "Among the believers are men who have been true to what they covenanted with Allah.". Verse. Muhammad bin Ishaq narrated, on the authority of Salih bin Kaysan, on the authority of some of the Saad family, on the authority of Saad bin Abi Waqqas, who said: "We were a people who were afflicted by living in Mecca with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When calamity befell us, we acknowledged it and passed by it and were patient. Musab bin Umair was the kindest and most generous boy in Mecca. He was with his parents, then I saw him struggling hard in Islam, to the point that I saw his skin peeling like the skin of a snake." Al-Waqidi said: He was a young, beautiful, and capacious young man of Mecca, and his parents loved him. His mother used to clothe him with the best clothes possible. He was the most fragrant of the people of Mecca.

the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, used to mention him and say: "I have not seen anyone more beautiful in character or more blessed than Mus'ab bin Umair. Reported by " Ismail bin Ali and others, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ka'b Al-Qurazi, who said: Someone who heard Ali bin Abi Talib, peace be upon him, told me: We are sitting with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. The mosque when Mus'ab bin Umair came to us, and there was nothing on it except his cloak, patched with fur. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, saw him, he wept for those who were in it. Of the blessing, which he is in today. Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, said: "How will it be if one of you went out in a robe in the morning and went to bed in a robe. It was placed in his hands?
